Hey Everyone! Welcome to my blog!
I was born on August 20, 1990, in Denver, Colorado. I have lived in this beautiful state my whole life.
I graduated from Elizabeth High School in 2009, and attended the University of Northern Colorado the following four and a half years, studying Music Education with an emphasis in Instrumental Music. I have known since I was a sophomore in high school that I wanted to be a music teacher, and I loved everything about music, especially the nerdy theory and science stuff behind music. During my time at UNCo, I learned to play pretty much every instrument (at least well enough to teach it), but I prefer the brass family, as they are clearly the best family of instruments. (I’m not biased from years of playing tuba and trombone, it’s just a fact. Louder=better) And now, as it turns out, if I go more then a week or so without playing an instrument or music, I get really antsy and stir-crazy.
When I finished student teaching and graduated in December 2013, I went on the World Race. It was the most life changing experience I’ve ever had. While I knew after getting back that I had a heart for missions, I figured I would do short trips during the summer break while I was teaching.
Between August 2015 and June 2017, I taught middle school and high school band at Vineland Middle School and Pueblo County High School in Pueblo, Colorado, the one place I asked God not to send me to. So of course he did. But the experience I had there and the people I met made it worth it.

So now I am where I am, getting prepped for launch to Siem Reap Cambodia. Stay tuned for announcements, blog posts, and (Lord willing) a podcast!
