God’s Perfect Timing (or that thing that makes no sense until you look back and seen, then you go “ooooohhhhh”)

Two years, Two months, and 25 days. That’s how long it’s been since I decided to become a long term missionary. Two long, patience testing years. Despite how long it has been, I’m thankful for how it has played out. I was able to attend the Charles Simeon Trust Conference on biblical exposition, and learned a ton about how to read a passage of scripture and see the gospel connections and implications in it. I went to LTM training in North Carolina at the Center for Intercultural training and learned how to share the gospel in other cultures. I lead worship at church a few times, some from guitar and once from bass (that was an interest one).  And this past month I attended the WorshipGod Conference put on by Bob Kauflin and Sovereign Grace.  If it hadn’t taken this long, I would not have been prepared.

It is a bummer that I won’t be in Cambodia with the team I met 2 years ago.  But it’s still where God wants me to be.

I became fully funded July 31.  I’ll be heading out to Cambodia on Thursday, September 19th.

I’m excited, nervous, excited, scared, excited, excited, and excited.  It’s been a long time coming, but God’s timing is perfect.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 “He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.”
